At last I've bitten the bullet and taken the plunge to start a blog. I'm not the most confident technical person (those who know me will agree) but here goes!
It is sunny outside now but the rain fell all night. I have been down to our local river this morning and it is raging with all its might. I am a textile artist and as an experiment for some of my future work I have left samples of fabrics in the river bed, around and under stones, hanging from riverside trees and roots. The way the water was travelling this morning it will be amazing if any of them will still be there - but that's part of the experiment - the force of the water and how turbulent it can be and the peaty colour of the water as it comes down from the moors. Fingers crossed when the water level falls I'll check they are still there. Yesterday I was walking over the river it was so shallow, today it would be suicide.
